I used to be a dragon slayer when I was a kid. My imaginary dragons and I would battle for days at a time. It was a simple time of childhood imagination and exploration of self empowerment. All these years later, and the dragons are still here. In my adult life however, they have changed to PTSD and Chronic Pain, and I have come to the realization that they can no longer be destroyed. They are ingrained and a permanent part of my life now. These dragons are here to stay, it's my charge to keep them at bay.
