You won’t find many of our signature strains on the national cannabis strain boards because most of our strains in production come directly from elite breeders right here in the Southwest. These breeders are devoted to their craft and their love of the plant. Years of research and trial and error have produced terpene rich medical cannabis strains that are as effective as they are great tasting. Each one of our signature strains has been hand selected for its medicinal properties, taste and terpene profiles.
What does it take to make the grade of an Organtica Signature Strain? To say “it’s all about the terpenes” would simply be just another trendy catch phrase, worthy of a trivial facebook meme, t-shirt or bumper sticker. But that wouldn’t be close to accurate for us. It’s about the balance of cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, reliability and frankly, “bag appeal”. While terpenes are definitely king in our strain world, it’s really more about a finding the best combination of terpenes and cannabinoids to present the synergies needed for patient relief.
Multiple seeds of each strain were popped and we waited until the best phenos presented themselves. Some of the strains we play with will never be sold in our clinics, as we have very high standards and a higher sense of responsibility to not necessarily offer the biggest high, but rather the very best cannabis medicine to our patients. Strains that don’t make the grade are immediately replaced by new seeds and the process endlessly repeats itself until we have achieved a fully sustainable roster of fabulous medicine that will help the widest range of individual patients. DOUBLE DRAGON
This is a very special Sativa brought to you by one of our favorite cannabis breeders, Rasta Jeff of Irie Genetics. Double Dragon is a cross of Durban Poison and the very popular strain, Arise. The aroma and flavor is quite the mix of piney fuel with a sweet taste of chocolate and a hint of mint. It has agreat anti-inflammatory effects. It also boasts a good amount of a terpene we don’t always see in a heavy percentage, Terpinolene, which offers anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. FIREFLY
From Irie Genetics, Firefly is a cross of Arise (Golden Goat x Daybreaker) and Lemon Skunk. GG4 – formerly named Gorilla Glue, is an Indica leaning hybrid from elev8 Seed Company. Genetics: Sour Dubb X Chem Sister. Because it’s a very tried and true strain that has been around for many years, a lot of dispensaries carry GG#4, and for a very good reasons; it’s great medicine, super pungent and ridiculously sticky. NORTHERN LIGHTS SKUNK
