Growing a cannabis plant isn’t that hard. Pretty much anyone with experience growing vegetables or herbs can grow a cannabis plant, and we not only encourage that, we seasonally offer free clones to our patients with a PPL (Personal Production
License). But to grow premium medical grade cannabis in large quantities, that will be life changing medicine for many different patients with an endless list of ailments, takes great talent, persistence, knowledge, experience and a great attitude. Our
growers are patients too, each and every one of them, and they hold themselves to high standards when producing the plants
that will become medicine for people we care about just like they were are own family.

At Organtica we are slow to go, so to speak, and we don’t think that’s a bad thing. We won’t rush a harvest, we don’t add trendy grow products to push our production, and we would rather be low on cannabis products for a while than send something to market that isn’t up to par. We are patients and we have patience. We always want to offer our patients the best possible grown cannabis medicine in New Mexico.
Not all strains make the grade
Strains that don’t make the grade are immediately replaced by new strain seeds and our process endlessly repeats itself until we have achieved a fully sustainable roster of fabulous medicine that will help the widest range of individual patients.
What does it take to make the grade of our Signature Strain?
It’s about the balance of cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, and frankly, “bag appeal”. While terpenes are definitely king in the Organtica strain world, it’s really more about a finding the best combination of terpenes and cannabinoids to align for patient relief.

We grow our cannabis in soil. “Clean Coco” from Rx Green Technologies is what our grow team prefers because it’s an all natural planting medium. Our soil is well inoculated with the beneficial fungi and bacteria that will enhance the growth of cannabis, helping the plants thrive and fend off disease and pests.

We utilize nutrients from Roots Organics line and are very pleased with our results. Our lead grower, Adam, has been growing medical cannabis for most of his life and has tried many different products. With patients foremost in his mind, Adam feels this line is the best safe and effective supplement for our very precious cannabis plants.
Pesticides has become a nasty word, but if anyone tells you they never use pesticides they are not being truthful. There ARE safe and effective pesticides that may be used to combat pests and microbial issues, but we feel that all natural preventative measures are best. We utilize electrically charged water mists and liquid sulfur to combat pests and other issues BEFORE they happen. Plants are only treated in vegetative weeks and plants with any issues that show up after week five of flowering are destroyed.

It has taken years of continuous searching to narrow the number of strains down to maintain a well balanced cultivation facility. The facility runs on a weekly harvest and replacement cycle that consists of four Indica, four Sativa and four Hybrid strains.
