Simple ingredients and very little effort can give you delicious homemade tortillas that are so much better than what you buy at the supermarket. Here is a fool proof recipe for medicated flour tortillas that will enhance any New Mexico dish.

Whether you medicate them or not, this recipe will give you some of the most flavorful tortillas you have ever had. The addition of concentrated cannabis oil (CCO or FECO/Full Extract Cannabis Oil), will add a slightly nutty back flavor, depending on how much oil you use.

Organtica offers our own CCO in 1ml and .5ml syringes that have easy-to-use measuring units down the side of the syringe that will help you get an accurate dose. If you make your own oil, be sure to have your oil tested for cannabinoids so you may properly dose. BHO and CO2 oils may also be used if you can’t find FECO/CCO.

plate of flour tortillasThis recipe is for 8/medium sized flour tortillas at 25mg THC. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
3 Tbsp oil (bacon fat gives the best flavor)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup of hot water
200mg THC/CCO

Warm the oil and add the CCO, mix well and set aside to cool a bit. If the oils aren’t mixing easily just warm it up a little more.

– While the oils cool down, mix the dry ingredients well in a bowl.
– Add the medicated oil mixture and fold in.
– Add the hot water, (hot tap water, not boiling) and mix in with a fork or spoon until you can form a ball of dough.
– Knead the dough well for a few minutes until smooth.
– Place dough ball back in the bowl, cover with plastic wrap or waxed paper to protect it from drying out and let it set at room temperature for a minimum of 30 minutes. Set a timer and go do a bowl, dab or preroll.

After the dough has set for a sufficient amount of time cut into 8 even pieces and roll into balls.

Preheat griddle or frying pan. One at a time, place dough ball onto a lightly floured hard surface. Flour up your rolling pin and roll into circles of your desired thickness, remembering they will puff up a bit once they hit the heated griddle.

Slap the rolled out tortilla dough on the griddle and flip after the dough forms air bubbles. They should be slightly browned. Serve immediately or let cool and bag them up.
